Time Flies.....

Well we went to the doctor on Friday. Here is the scoop. They are super healthy! Whit weighs 15 lbs 5 oz. Parker on the other hand weighs 13 lbs 12 oz. Apparently, Parker is on the small end of the curve...I guess we need to start feeding him cheeseburgers. Well maybe not cheeseburgers quite yet, BUT we have now started baby food. Talk about funny! Here are some cute pictures of the boys on their first night with carrots. We had carrots all over the place. I didn't get a picture of Whit's foot but now that he has discovered he can stick his foot in his mouth, we had carrots on his toes too! They don't seem to be fans of the carrots considering Parker would take a bite and then shake his head like YUCK! Tonight, we start sweet potatoes...maybe we will have better luck with those.

Thanks to Paige, I have discovered a website called Freecycle. Thanks to it, I have now recieved about 4 cans of formula and am getting about 2 more tomorrow. If anyone out there gets free Similac Isomil formula samples OR similac coupons...help a sister out! Even though the sample cans only last 1 1/2 days, anything helps!
I am so excited that September is almost here! There is already a lot going on. Someone's birthday ;) is in Sept. Also, The boys are being dedicated to the church on September 14, we are going to a party on the 20th, and it is the start of the ASU football home games. Can't wait to see the Mountaineers play!
Also, I had to add this super cute picture of Parker...he was asleep in his crib and he had his butt all stuck up in the air...it was just too hard to pass up.

Hello World!

Hello World! I am back! Well I have been around but just haven't been blogging. So here is the update -

The boys are now 4 1/2 months old. They love to roll around on the floor on their blankets. They both have recently found their feet. Whit has figured out that if he tries hard enough, he can stick his foot in his mouth and suck on his toes. YUCK! It is cute though! Parker has discovered that he has a voice - especially when we are in the car. He will talk your head off! I wonder where he gets that from...here's a hint...it's not me! We go to the doctor for their 4 month visit on Friday so we will find out then how much they have grown. We are going to see what the doctor says about feeding them. We have been doing rice cereal at night for the past month or so and we are hoping we can start mixing in some other stuff....we'll see!

I went to the CMOMs sale last Friday - got some great deals! I was happy to say that I only spent $56 this time. I had a great time with the girls though. It was so sad though that I was ready to pass out on the way home because I was so tired...and it was like 8:30..WoW!

Also, we are getting close to APPALACHIAN FOOTBALL time!!! YAY!!! The first game is Aug. 30th. We play LSU at LSU. The family will be going to a viewing party at the dear Bethie's house. I am ready to see us win our 4th National Championship in a row! Have no fear...the babies will have thier ASU gear on on game days too!

Today, we are excited! Aunt Lesley (my sister) is coming to town to visit. I am sure that we will all have some fun. I will try to snap some pictures and add a pic to today's blog.

Happy 4th of July!

Well so who cares if I am a day late?! We had a wonderful 4th with the family. We went to Paige's house and hung out around the pool...too bad the boys flaked out before they even got into the pool...I don't even think their bathing suits got wet. Once Paige uploads her pictures of the boys on the 4th, I will share them. Until then, I took some cute pictures of the boys playing. Like I said before, they are enjoying the walker and now we have pulled out the bumbo seats and they are getting used to those...here are some fun pictures of that.

Notice the picture of Whit looking at the bear on the walker....he sits there and talks to the bear all of the time! I mean its not like it talks back...but I swear Whit is telling him all of his problems...sometimes he even sounds like he is complaining about something. Anyway...its cute!

What a fun week ahead! Paige is coming to hang out a little on Friday and Mom is coming Friday night to stay with me for the weekend....and we leave for Gatlinburg with the family in almost 2 weeks! I can't wait for another vacation. I talked to my grandmother tonight and she said we should take the boys to the aquarium to pet the sting rays.....we'll see about all of that! :)

Happy 12 Weeks Whit & Parker

Can you believe how big they are already??? My boys are growing up! Both of them are starting to get really good at holding their heads up. This picture of Whit was when he was having some tummy time - notice the blanket...that was the same blanket that I had tummy time on when I was a baby! Parker is in a walker thing....Thanks to Cathy Graham! He absolutely loves that thing since I could lower it so that he can touch the floor.
Now here are the boys the first night I put them in the walker....I mean this was about 2 or 3 days ago. They both for some reason thought that it was something you were supposed to eat! I thought it was really funny that they were both in the same position snacking on this thing too.

Today we are going to Aunt Paige's house for some pool time and some time to visit. Tonight Olivia is going to come over and spend the night and help me take care of the boys - what a BIG help!

And I can't forget to mention that they went to their first party the other night! They were able to spend some time with "Aunt" Carla on her birthday - too bad they had to be party poopers and go home and get to bed...but they still had a great time and they were soooo worn out from all of the excitement. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CARLA!! (it was actually on Sunday) Here are some fun pictures from the party - and don't think I am a bad mom for the Parker & a beer picture - it was kinda funny - and its not like we gave him any!

Beach Bums

Whoa...look at that...haven't blogged since May 27th! WOW! You would think I was really busy or something!

Well I will have to say that my only excuse was that the family was being beach bums for a couple of weeks. Talk about a nice vacation. We went down on June 3rd and came back on the 18th. The first week we were there, the boys were getting used to being somewhere different. They didn't seem to have too much problem...as long as they have their boppy pillows and some food. Then, the 2nd half of vacation, Paige and her crew came down. Talk about nice for me and Chip...we had 8 people that could hold and feed babies! Chip and I even went out for date night! We went to Freddie's for dinner and saw Sex In The City (I would recommend seeing - great girly movie....even though I think some guys would really like it too).

The boys had their first dip in the pool - tugboat pool and bigger pool. We bought them their first floats (even though they could probably fall through one of the leg holes). The boys also had fun lying out on the beach for hours...in a tent of course. We all went walking on the pier one night....and another night we all made smores and ate homemade popcorn..YUM YUM!

But now back to the real world...we have been back and have had some crazy nights getting back into our routine and schedule. We took the boys to the dr. and found out that Whit weighs 12lbs 8 oz and Parker weighs 11lbs 6oz. So, they are growing like weeds. They also smile a lot now...not just because of gas...but because they are happy! We all went to church yesterday and ate lunch at Grandma Sally's.

So now, I am trying to get stuff organized and cleaned while the boys are napping...talk about a never ending task!

Update

Hey guys - time for an update!

Update on the boys - They are doing great. Healthly and happy little boys. They are soon to be 7 weeks old! Holy cow! I feel like I just had them yesterday! We are still trying to get on a good schedule. It's all about trial and error. We hit a milestone on Sunday night. The boys slept from 11:00 - 4 am without waking up to eat! Now I know that isn't going to be the case every night but it was a great feeling to get a few hours of sleep - granted Parker was sleeping on my chest. Unfortunately, Parker is not a back sleeper and I don't feel right putting him on his stomach at night so he ends up sleeping on our chests most of the time. I know this is a bad habit...but if it helps us to sleep a little more, then so be it! I can't wait!
A week from today, we are going on our first vacation as a family. We are going to the beach house for 2 weeks!!! Not only do I get to max and relax on the beach, I also am going to have 9 other people at the house to help me take care of the boys. I guess I better start packing soon. It will probably take me a week to remember everything we need to take with us.
Tomorrow, I am taking the boys over to my school to see my students and see all of my friends there. They might as well get ready to be kissed, hugged, and picked up all afternoon! I can't wait to see my student's faces when they see the boys. They have seen pictures but I don't think it has sunk in yet. When I was there a few weeks ago, one kid even asked me if I had had my babies yet. I mean first of all, there is a picture hanging in my classroom of the boys AND do I look like I still am pregnant with twins????? I surely hope not!
And the biggest news lately for those I haven't told yet. I am taking the year off of work to spend with my boys. This is a bitter sweet deal though. I can't wait to spend lots and lots of time with my babies but still, knowing that we are now living on one paycheck is a little more stressful. I figure if I keep coupon cutting and deal shopping, we will be just fine.
Also, for those of you that I didn't send an e-mail to, I have a new e-mail address. I will still use my old one for a while but now I have another address once I am done at school for the year. lindsaykwwilson@gmail.com

Long Time No See!

Yeah Yeah...I know that I haven't updated lately. Well here is the latest scoop. The boys of course are doing great. They turned 6 weeks old today...which holy cow time flies!
Chip has now gone back to work so night time is lonesome ole' me. I mean how sad is it that when Chip left for work Tuesday, I said to myself, I wish I could go to work today. In 2 nights, I got a total of 6 hours of sleep...this includes the hour nap I took when Chip's family came over to allow me some sanity. I mean really...I am going to go nuts I think! My nights consist of constant visits to the nursery to see who is crying now and then feeding feeding feeding. I mean dang I can't wait until they can go at least 4 hours without waking me up! I know this makes me sound like a horrible whiny mom but oh well...at least I know there are some people that know how it is having 2 waking you up all of the time. Otherwise, lets see what else....Whit is still obsessed with the church picture on the wall. He has also become our little chunker...his favorite past time is eating. I have even fed him and I don't think he ever woke up. He has now passed Parker in the weight department. Parker's tummy seems to be doing better lately. I am trying something new. When I ate cereal with milk on it, his tummy was in knots the whole day...now we are trying soy milk....trust me...this is not thrilling to me. I will also say that Parker must be a BIG American Idol fan. He stayed awake through the whole 2 hour finale and kicked his legs around the whole time...I think maybe he liked the music and the bright lights flashing all over the place.
The boys also just experienced their first day at church. It was great...you drop them off in the nursery and you are free for an hour! Then, they experienced their first family reunion. At one point, I looked around and said...who are these people holding my children???? They were happy and I know everyone that got to hold them were happy too!
Speaking of American Idol...our house was super excited that David Cook won! I will definitely buy his CD when it comes out.
Also, SUPER exciting news. If you are one of my Emily Giffin buddies that have read all of her books, you may know that the newest book is out.."Love the One Your With." So far, I have only gotten about 1/3 of the way through it...I usually don't have enough time to get much further. But so far....it looks great. I will definitely give you the update when I finish. At this rate, it may be December before that happens though.
I will add new pics soon...in the mean time, visit Paige's Blog for some great pics.
